About Us
Based in Johannesburg, Berloni South Africa, was Established in March of 1990 by The Italian Design Experience Group, with the vision of importing Italian kitchens of the highest quality – Berloni Kitchens – and offering the South African market a complete kitchen solution from design to installation. While at first focusing on the kitchen industry, the company soon expanded rapidly and offered its discerning cliental a variety of other Italian produced home furnishings and accessories. The group was then well positioned to service not only the consumer and building industry, but also the hospitality sector which it did with great success. In 1993 the group’s bathroom company, Tapitalia, was founded.

Our Story & Mission
Over the next few decades, our design and technical directors have scouted Italy and established relationships with various leading manufacturers. They visited the plants where our extensive product offerings are manufactured and after careful study and selection, collated our current diversified collections of products that have struck a harmonious relationship between design quality and price.
Our products are produced by using the best raw materials available and the most advanced technological manufacturing processes. The best world-renowned designers are engaged during the research and development phases and the result is products of the highest quality that are functional, practical and on the cutting edge of design. Our efficient technical support team services all our products, and is always at our clients’ disposal for advice before any purchase and for maintenance and service for years to come thereafter.

The primary aim has always been to strike a balance between eco-sustainabililty and design with regard to the production cycles and raw materials implemented in the manufacturing of our products. Besides using natural energy and resources each company rigorously controls its emissions into the atmosphere and the substances released into the ground as a result of various product manufacturing phases.
Examples of this strong commitment include the intiation of a waste reduction and recycling plan coupled with water protection measures that have enabled the elimination of all industrial water emissions.
